"Having an understanding and empathy with people, animals and nature from a young age along with a number of mysterious life experiences, I was naturally drawn to the area of healing and wellbeing in all its forms, physical, emotional, mental and spiritual.

Today's modern world is fast paced; we are constantly bombarded with visual, aural and multi-media stimuli, so much that it can become difficult to relax our overloaded nervous systems, to calm our minds, restore creativity, inner peace and joy (and yes, it does exist!).  Through ancient practices and healing arts it is possible to begin to bring peace of mind and greater wellness to your being.

Yoga and meditation are powerful methods that balance the the body as well as helping us to 'reclaim' our mind and thoughts (our minds are exposed to a vast array of information which affects us on conscious, subconscious and unconcsious levels and can even determine or affect our throughts, behaviour and emotions), this enhances creativity in addition to helping us overcome negative thoughts and feelings.  It is quite startling to realise just how much of what we expose ourselves to really affects our inner being and how we feel.  Practices of yoga and meditation bring our attention back to ourselves, giving us a greater sense of peace, positively affecting our lives and giving us greater control on how we choose to live and bringing the joy back into life.

Working with the breath can be very powerful, however the effectiveness of the breath is currently not  understood in the Western world, despite the prevelent conditions of asthma, panic attacks, shallow breathing, chronic neck tension and depression amongst others.  By uncovering breath restrictions it is possible to return to a full natural breath which hosts a whole set of physical, mental and emotional benefits.  The best way to understand these benefits is to physically feel the difference in your own body.  A completely natural therapy in itself with no adverse side effects!  Just returning to the way we were originally designed to breathe and function.

Holistic therapies that work on a number of levels can induce deep relaxation and induce a state of balance in the body.  They work 'hand in hand' with conventional medicine to improve quality of life and wellbeing.  Here all aspects and systems of the body are taken into consideration, along with your thoughts, feelings and personal history."
